Games Installation?

As far as netiquette within forums, I have been schooled by the best in the Samsung Eternity Forums, Man, will they ever chew your butt for not searching first and I guess it does get annoying...............
Point is,.... I searched before asking.....

    I'm used to the Samsung Eternity and one thing I really liked was being able to load games like Bejeweled, Luxor, Zuma and hundreds of others into the phone via mini SD, OTA rumkin, Data Cable etc.

 I've been trying all day to do this to my 3G that I just got,  is it possible??   I know I can go online and play it through Safari but it just seems easier to have it in a "games and apps" folder......right?    Any help is greatly appreciated and I'd say my level of skill and ability to understand tech talk about phones is far above average so, lay it on me, what am I missin?
