Now you can finally update to 4.0 firmware and jailbreak your iPhone. It has got to be the easiest jailbreak yet. Even easier than Blackra1n. So easy that people have been Jailbreaking Floor models at the apple stores. here is a video of one of the most trusted in the jailbreak community, DinoZambas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZofoQlJAl9k

youtube doesn't says there is not video for it. I clicked there on your post, and I also copied and pasted the link into the youtube search bar. Please read my post on PLEAAAAAAASE help, and see what you can do to help me. I only have until 1:30 p.m. this evening (Jamaican time) to ohave the issue resolved. I will not have access to the Internet after that until Saturday night 9:00 p.m. Please and thank you.

As of right now, you need to use redsn0w to jailbreak ios5, and the 3gs is usually an untrthered jailbreak! redsn0w for windowsredsn0w for mac

Thanks for the info, I just downloaded and then went to a link and it says ( current redsn0w tool can jailbreak iOS 5 tethered not untethered. ) I think this means I cannot turn off my iphone unless I when I reboot I have to go connect my iphone to my pc and do a tethered boot. I might just leave it a while until unteathered is available.
Thanks

This is true, but the 3gS is on the old boot rom (most of them are) which means u can jailbreak untethered using the tool. Hackulo.us forums have confirmed his for me but again u should look into it a little bit first, prettysure musclenerd posted it on his twitter too, i could be wrong tho

Thanks, as a new starter with the iphone and jailbreaking I'm a bit cautious but I'll take a look. Thanks for the links as well.

Mine is on the new boot rom so only semi-tethered is possible just now, I'll just have to wait for the new update.
Thanks
