ive already done this so i know it works!!!! blackra1n download!!!

i'm going to try this right now, and if all goes well it'll def get a stickey! hang tight, and great find i've been waiting for blackra1n!!!
EDIT: Stickied!!! make sure you watch the video before attempting this...but it does work for both at&t and O2-UK

im telling you its soooo simple!! it takes more time to upgrade to 3.1.2 than it takes to download blackra1n, and jailbreak the 3gs!!
i did NOT restore my phone in itunes after the jailbreak!!! the itunes popped up some window telling me i needed to restore but i noticed that my phone was already showing up. i just closed those windows and my phone was ready to go! so i saved an hour or two redownloading all my music and apps.
i DO NOT recommend anyone doing anything outside of what is advised in this video im just informing of something i found.

you have to update to 3.1.2, did you do that? i did it and it worked fine on my 3G! i'm a fan of the rock package too  did u watch the video nitto posted? try again and see how it goes, because you will get a black rain icon on the second page

you will need to upgrade to 3.1.2 then yes it will work.
Just to let everyone know there is a problem with some of the iPhones that use baclkra1n some of the phone are loosing there carrier files so they cant use it as a phone any longer. Also with the iPods if the battery dies you will not beable to turn your iPod back on without pluging it in and reinstalling Blackra1n.
Let me know if anyone else has heard of this problem.

that sounds pretty serious and it would suck if that happened... it might only do that if you dont full upgrade you iphone before jbing it though. because what happened to me was i had upgraded the fw but not the carrier settings so my phone froze and then i restored and it offered the carrier settings again and then i updated them and then jailbroke again... maybe that has something to do with it.
