Issues with making calls on an iphone 3GS

Seem to be having real problems with making calls on my iphone 3gs (16gb) on O2.

Basically when i make calls after two - three minutes of calling someone, my phone cuts the call and goes straight to the boot logo, it then takes a good couple of minutes for it too load up, then does the same again on my next call, this does not happen when i receive calls, only when i make them, it also doesn't seem to make a difference whether i am calling a land line or a mobile, it always cuts of the call.

Has anyone else been experiencing this problem, and is it likely to be a hardware fault, or just something that i am going to have to put up with,

This is really frustrating me and causing me a load of problems, so any help would be gratefully received.

i have the same issue, although its abit more than a couple minutes, i got my phone a few weeks ago from tescos, my software is 5.0.1, i phoned tesco and they said its a software issue, so hopefully they will bring an update out to fix it, or go back to factory restore, but its only a couple weeks old
