I tried this during the Beta and was screwed because of the Dev activation that was needed. I had to get a new phone. I have a 16GB 3G, downloaded the IPSW, option-clicked Update, installed, and there was no prompt to activate. Wow, all I have to say is, 3.0 is so helpful. Hope you download it and try. Peace!
